FAQ…

What should I expect on my first visit?

Our goal from the moment you walk into the church is to make you feel welcome. Our greeters will always greet you with a smile and are ready to assist you in finding anything you need. If you have children you’ll find a nursery and children’s church that is clean, safe and adequately staffed with volunteers who will love your children as their own.

Our worship service is simple but very powerful. During our service we sing hymns with piano accompaniment, pray, read scripture and hear God’s Word taught in a way that is relevant, creative and energetic. The worship service typically lasts about an hour.

At the end of the service we would encourage you to visit our Welcome Center in the lobby to receive your new guest packet which contains all sorts of information about who we are, where we’ve been and we’re we are going. (Guest packets coming in 2013.)

What should I wear?

We fully believe what matters most is a person’s inside not the outward appearance. We want you to come as you are and who you are and not feel judged. Whether you dress up or dress down you’ll find a church who genuinely cares about you.

What time is your service?

We currently offer one service at 10:45 am.

Will I be singled out as a new person?

Absolutely not. We definitely want you to feel welcome and no doubt many will come up to introduce themselves but we will not single you out during the service.

What do you offer for children?

During our Sunday School hour at 9:45AM and during the service at 10:45 AM we offer a nursery for parents with infants-3 years old to use.  We also offer  a children’s church for 4 years to 6th grade. The children are encouraged to sit with their parents during the first part of the service and are released for Children’s Church before the message.

Can I meet with the pastor?

We would absolutely love to meet you and help you and your family in any way. If you’d like to meet with us simply setup a time before or after the service, by email to the church office at office@calwes.tv, or call the office at 620-378-3434.

How can I get connected?

The easiest way to begin to feel connected at Calvary is to serve in a ministry, start or attend a bible study and make the Sunday worship service a weekly priority. Feeling like you truly belong in a church can take time, but we are absolutely willing to help you get there. We’d love to talk to you about any and all opportunities that would help you feel connected.
